THE STORY: DR. MARIUS UCHENNA ASHIBUOGWU
His Birth—-early years
Marius Uchenna Ashibuogwu, started his sojourn on earth in Lagos, on Thursday 19th January, 1984. A destiny child he was because his pregnancy came with some divine events. Marius started early in life with the Lord, that same year he was baptized at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Yaba, Lagos. He attended A-Z International School, Ajao Estate, Lagos for his preparatory education in 1992. In 1996, he completed his Junior secondary education,earning distinction in several subjects at the prestigious Igbobi College. That same year he got the sacrament of the Holy Communion at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Bariga, Lagos. In 1998 Swaggalirous El-papy, as he was popularly called came out with distinction in his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination from Ajao Estate grammar School.
In year 2010, his hard work and diligence earned him an MBBS (Hons) degree from the prestigious University of Maiduguri, college of Medicine, with emphasis in Obstetrics and Gynecology; which added an appellate to his name MEDICAL DOCTOR, his future became more buoyant as he started cutting his teeth to be a bridge of hope to the daunted in the society, with the divine of gift of caring for the sick and bringing them back to life. While waiting for his internship deployment, he started helping out at Rainbow Hospitals and Diagnostics Centre Abuja, where he became the love of all because of his passion for helping humanity, a rare gem he was and gifted fingers he had. Between 2011 and 2012 Dr. Marius Uchenna started his mandatory houseman-ship at 445 NAF Hospital Headquarters Ikeja, Lagos. His brief stint at NAF Hospital was marked with excellent personae, the word of one of his senior colleague, “He impressed me as a hardworking, compassionate, reliable and ethical person. He demonstrated a cheerful personality even when under stress. He was a bright and intelligent person with good judgment. I always had great admiration for his devotion to his family. He was a unique and likeable person.” (Dr. Julie Olisemeka, 445 NAF hospital, Ikeja). Dr. Marius was a joy giver to anybody that comes in contact with him. He lived a selfless life for people. He sponsored treatments for the have-nots, treated his patients with passion, worked extra hours, just to be sure his patients were okay.
Dr. Marius chose a field he enjoys and he became totally absorbed in it. Borrowing the words of Henry David Thoreau, an American Philosopher ‘If a man advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, he experience a success unknown in common times.’
His Hobbies
Dr.Marius set a record as the only Medical Doctor Deejay, an avenue to express his passion for music and making people happy. He was a ‘Deejay Consultant’ to so many music houses, clubs and at events as one his leisure.
Special Traits
Kind, living for others, generous, a jolly good fellow, ever smiling, warm, caring, sociable ,very relational, a good team player, a burden bearer and fantastic giver.
Dr. Marius Uchenna Ashibuogwu (MBBS), was a beacon of light and a beautiful gift to his family, his generation, siblings, colleagues, friends, cousins and finally to his parents.
Our Thoughts
What can we say again, but to first express our heartfelt appreciation to the almighty God for blessing us with a unique person like Marius as a son. He was a loan from Him for a little time; He called him back, when He needed him for kingdom assignment. To you Oh Lord we give glory and honour.
